Lisa G. McFarland,L.M.T., C.S.T. Lisa McFarland, a Certified Somatic Therapist, began her private practice in 1988 after receiving her initial CranioSacral training from Dr. John Upledger, the originator of CranioSacral Therapy in 1986. For eight years Lisa worked with a specialist in head and neck pain and TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint Syndrome). Two of these eight years she trained in clinic with an amazing osteopath. Lisa developed a unique bodywork style drawn from combining her intuitive skills with CranioSacral Therapy, Myofascial work, Neuromuscular work, Bowen and Neuro-Structural Integration Technique (N.S.T.), and Somato-Emotional Release work. Working with each client individually, Lisa creates and applies a personalized bodywork style to help clear stored body memory and enhance wellness. She has completed advanced CranioSacral training, Pediatric CranioSacral Therapy, Somatic Emotional Release training from the Upledger Institute. She is an active member of the OrthoBionomy Society and continues to train in new and innovative osteopathic modalities. Lisa has been in private practice since 1988, officing with The original Wellness Center; Whole Health Associates, Spectrum Center and in 1998 Lisa co-founded Center for Natural Health. For five years CFNH ran as a Holistic Clinic and Wellness Spa, in which time Lisa's Intuitive bodywork and CranioSacral therapy practice continued to thrive. After the Center closed in January 2004, Lisa created www.CenterforHealthandWellness.org. a virtual community for sharing information and resources. In September 2004, Lisa graduated from the four-year Medical Intuitive certificate program presented by Holos Institutes of Health and The Institute for Scientific Medical Intuition. The four-year medical intuition program taught by Drs. Caroline Myss and C. Norman Shealy, brought together the medical intuitive work with the archetypes (Sacred Contracts) interpretation of Caroline Myss's work. Currently Lisa is working towards a degree in Natural Health and Naturopathy from the Clayton College of Natural Health. Lisa remains committed to the integration of health and wellness. |
